OFFICIAL: Alex Telles Becomes A Manchester United Player

Manchester United have completed the signing of Alex Telles from FC Porto.

The Brazilian has signed a four-year contract with United on a deal reported to be worth €18m.

Telles will be bringing some competition to the left-back spot at Old Trafford, right alongside Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams. The 27-year-old is rightfully an attacking wingback with 26 goals and over 50 assists to his name in his five seasons with Porto.

Telles said after putting pen-to-paper on his transfer, “To join a club with the prestige of Manchester United is a huge honour. You have to work hard to get to this moment in your career and now I am coming to this club, I can promise that I will give everything in my heart to be a success here.

“I won many trophies at FC Porto and I want to continue that at United. The manager has a clear plan and direction for this team and I can’t wait to pull on the famous shirt.”

Another signing expected to be confirmed is that of Edinson Cavani on a free transfer from PSG.
