Man United announce Mazraoui arrival from Bayern

The Red Devils have paid an initial €15m for the Morocco international.

Manchester United have confirmed the fourth signing of the summer as they signed Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. The Moroccan defender joined Matthijs de Ligt from the Allianz Arena to Old Trafford.

Man United had completed a deal for De Ligt on Tuesday and he became the third signing of the summer. Just after feew hours, the Dutchman was joined by the Moroccan defender.

The 26-year-old right-back has penned a deal until June 2028. He also underwent a medical with club at the start of this week. Mazraoui will replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka who left the club for West Ham United.

The Red Devils have paid an initial €15m for the Morocco international. He spoke to the club website, “It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, and I cannot wait to walk out at Old Trafford wearing the red shirt.”

“I know that I’m joining the club at an exciting time; everyone I’ve spoken to has the same ambition for us to win trophies together and I can feel the determination to achieve that.

“Erik ten Hag played an important part in my development as a player, so it is exciting to be reuniting with him as I enter the prime years of my career. I know what he expects from his players, and I will give everything to help the group be successful.”

Mazraoui can make his debut for Man United in the opening Premier League against Fulham. The Red Devils managed to earn Europa League qualification by winning the FA Cup and this season, they would aim for Champions League. Mazraoui played under Ten Hag at Ajax so both can have a great tuning.
