Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Mason Greenwood will get more chances after an impressive debut in the Europa League.
“It’s always hard to keep players who perform well out of the team,” said the United boss. “I remember when I came in here and if he keeps scoring goals, he’ll play.
“He’s learning every single day in training,” said the Norwegian. “He’s training now with better players than he’s ever done.
“The more match time he has, the better he will become and the more used he will become to the tempo. I thought Astana was a good introduction for him.”
On Rashford, he said that the player needs to keep working.
“He’s getting the chances,” he said. “Of course he could have had three against Astana and the keeper made a few fantastic saves.
“I don’t worry about that, no. We’re working every single day in training with Marcus.
“He wants to improve, he wants to be better. He could’ve finished with his left instead of his right for one chance. It was just one of those days.”
