OGS - United forwards need to unlock another level

Manchester United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has talked about the lack of goals from his forward.

United have been a much improved unit this season. After getting kicked out of the Champions League group stages rather unceremoniously, the Red Devils have turned their season around.

OGS has managed to find a more consistent winning formula for the team that has seen them sit second in the league. Moreover, they have not been shy in front of goal scoring the highest in the league this season.

However, their forwards have had little to do with it.

“We have scored the most goals in the Premier League (50 from 24 games),” he said. “Our forwards haven’t scored as much as we would like. But it is a big positive. If we get them firing it would give us another edge.” Solskjaer told his pre-match press conference.

“The last four or five games we have not been at our best. We’re waiting for them to show what they are showing in training. They are doing well in training.

“They have the class and qualities, but their form hasn’t been the best. It will come. Getting goals from other positions is better than last season, so can we marry the two together and defend a bit better?”
