Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Insists He Doesn't Know What Antonio Valencia's Picture Holds

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he doesn’t have any clue regarding Antonio Valencia’s future.

The m right back has lost his place in the team since Solskjaer took up the charge and is currently on the sidelines recuperating from an injury.

Valencia had been the preferred choice on the right side of the defence but with the arrival of Diogo Dalot and also the resurgence of Ashley Young has forced him to third in the pecking order.

The club does have an option to extend it for a further year but that needs to be done within Friday 5 pm otherwise the Ecuador international will be free to leave the club at the end of the season.

Solskjaer said, “At the moment I’m not sure if Man United and Antonio will agree on [a deal for] the next year.

“He’s not 100 per cent fit, he’s had a fantastic career here at Manchester United and in England. He’s one of the only Premier League winners left in the dressing room.

“It depends on if he gets on the pitch in the next few months. He’s the captain and a great servant to the club so hopefully I can get him on the pitch to show what he can do.”
