Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returned to Old Trafford in United’s clash with Wolves on Saturday.

The Norwegian manager was given the manager’s hot seat back in 2018 and a could run of form landed him the permanent role.

But his spell brutally ended after a humiliating 4-1 defeat by Watford during the 2021/22 season.

He has not returned to management since the sacking and made his first appearance at the Old Trafford over the weekend game against Wolves.

In an interview with The Athletic, Solskjaer hinted that he is willing to return to United in a new role.

Solskjaer said: “I’ve got another job in me, if it’s the right chance and exciting enough. There are so many clubs, but I’m not going to work just for the sake of working.

“It has to be something special, a new culture, or a club that really excites me. Or maybe they will want me back at the club (United) in some capacity, who knows?”
