Ole Solskjaer Denies Having A Part In Marcus Rashford's Injury Absence

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to accept any blame for Marcus Rashford’s injury woes.

It could be months before the English forward returns on the pitch for Manchester United.

He needed to be sidelined with a stress fracture on his back. Plenty of former players claimed that he could be out for a significant period even though initial reports assumed an absence of only six weeks.

Reports have claimed that Rashford was asked to come on against Wolves in the FA Cup despite him carrying an injury from before. It seemingly got aggravated in the 1-0 victory which led to him being stretchered out.

According to Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer said “He’s not had that injury before, no. He complained a little bit after the last time we played Burnley, he felt it the first time.

“And we managed him as well as we could then. He had some days off for treatment, he was taken off in games and didn’t start every game and, suddenly, this was a new injury. So he didn’t have any injuries before then, no.”

There is no doubt Rashford has been overworked this season with not backup in the squad to replace him. Solskjaer understandably has denied all claims but it is not entirely his fault. The manager is forced to get results and has no option to give his best players a rest.
