Ole Solskjaer Disclosed Manchester United's Targets After Cardiff Loss

Ole Solskjaer revealed Manchester United targets after losing 2-0 to a relegated Cardiff City on Sunday.

The Norwegian has now managed just 2 wins out of the last 12 games as the Red Devils boss which created a lot of tension among the fan base.

He has been vocal about the changes that need to be made at the club in order to compete against the very top.

“We’re used to challenging for the Premier League and that’s not going to be sorted quickly,” Solksjaer said last night. “Realistically you’re not going to catch however many points – we’re 32 points behind the top teams. We’ve got to realistically challenge for the top four and another trophy.

“Last time we were in the Europa League with Jose (Mourinho) and loads of these players, we won it. The FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, they’re trophies we’ve got to start the season aiming to win.”

The 46-year-old also admitted to holding talks with Ed Woodward and the rest of the United ownership. He is expected to revamp the current squad with quality signings this summer.

“I’ve had loads of conversations and they’ve been up front and honest. We know where we are at and it’s too far behind where we want to be,” Solskjaer added.

“Towards the end of the season it makes it clearer. When I came in around Christmas and when we had that great run of form, sometimes that’s human nature, you’re confident, maybe overconfident, and we pipped games into our favour, we played some great football at times and towards the end we’ve seen that exceptional efficiency we had didn’t last, so they know we’re in for a rebuild.”
