Ole Solskjaer Teases Manchester United Fans On Haaland Transfer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed everything and yet nothing at the same time when asked about Erling Haaland.

It has been widely reported that RB Salzburg’s 19-year-old forward will be making the switch to Manchester United this January.

Haaland, who has struck the back of the net 28 times in 22 games this season, has put off potential moves to RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund due to his prior relationship with Solskjaer. The United boss coached his Norwegian compatriot back at Molde and said, “He is a player I like — we always look for good players.”

It will be difficult to predict just yet whether Haaland will move in January itself. He could play out the remainder of the season before making his decision. Solskjaer otherwise was happy to praise his side’s performance in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. What came after was the Norwegian claiming direct rivals, Manchester City to be the best team in England.

“[They will be] fantastic days in Manchester. They’re the best team in England and we’re confident going into the semi-final,” Solskjaer said. “Of course, we do really respect them and, as I said after the derby last time, in my opinion, they are the best team in England.

“They can out-football you so we need to get our game heads on and be ready for them again. But we’ve shown them that we can cause them problems. I think they will be two fantastic games.”
