Ole Solskjaer Unhappy With Fixtures Pile Up

Ole Solskjaer is unhappy with Manchester United’s congested fixtures.

The Red Devils just played Leicester City and are due to face Liverpool in another two days time.

They had to succumb to a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford after naming ten changes to their starting line up. Solskjaer had to name a relatively inexperienced front line to take on The Foxes.

“It can’t be like this again,” Solskjaer said post-game. “You can’t play Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday – it is impossible.

“That’s the reason why we had to make these changes because it is unheard of. I say it again, if this game was tomorrow, no problem and if we have another game on Saturday.

“If you have two days in between, there is no problem but this is impossible for the players to perform at this level Thursday night, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. It is impossible.”

It was a fan protest last week at Old Trafford that caused the commotion for United. After a COVID-19 breach at Manchester, Premier League officials decided to call off the meeting between United and Liverpool. Now, it has been rescheduled for this week, keeping in mind United’s European campaign as well.
