The silverware income at Manchester United has dried up sincerely since the club parted ways with legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

While Van Gaal won one FA Cup in two seasons and Moyes left empty handed, Jose gave the United faithful three trophies in 2 and a half seasons.

However, for the club who are used to winning the big trophies day in day out, even that was not enough and despite being under pressure from the fans, Ole wants to sort it out with silverware.

“We’ve got the Champions League, we’ve got the FA Cup, we can’t just say top four and that’s it,” Solskjaer said. “We’ve got to look at ‘can we win something this year?’ and I go into every single game as a Man United manager thinking we can win this game.”

“That’s not the dream though, to be top four. We’re Man United – you should always aim to win the league,” he said.

“We can’t do that this year but we’ve just got to look forward to that again because we have to get back to that.”
