Paul Pogba Absent From Training Ahead Of Brighton Clash

Manchester United star, Paul Pogba reportedly was absent during a training schedule in Carrington on Wednesday morning along with Nemanja Matic.

The 25-year-old has turned into a new man under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and is enjoying a magnificent run of form. He assisted Marcus Rashford for a goal on Sunday evening and helped the Red Devils get an away victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Now, United are level with Arsenal in the Premier League standings at 41 points, 6 behind 4th spot, Chelsea.

Alexis Sanchez has returned to training with the team and could be available for the next fixture against Brighton And Hove Albion. It awaits to be seen if the Chilean will also end his Old Trafford struggles under the new caretaker boss, just like his teammates, Pogba, Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

Pogba is often beaming with a broad smile on his face these days and the Frenchman revealed the reason behind it. He said, “Before the coach arrived I was in the shadows, on the bench, and I accepted that. It is a pleasure to play again. That’s normal. Now I am always smiling.”

“It’s a pleasure to be reunited with him. I knew him from the academy and the reserves when his nickname was ‘Super Sub’. He is doing a really good job. As a player he knew the mentality of this club. He has come back to help us and it is going very well. The season is long so let’s see how it goes.”

“I am playing a bit further forward. I have more security behind me, it gives me the freedom to go forward to try to get into the box and support the strikers.”
