Paul Pogba Backs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Appointment As The Permanent Manchester United Manager

Paul Pogba has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as the permanent manager of Manchester United insisting he would love to see the Norwegian continue his role at the club.

It has been a roller coaster few months for Solskjaer who was given the charge to restore normalcy at the Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho had an awful start to his third season as United’s campaign was on the brink of collapsing and the Portuguese had to be sacked following United’s worst possible start to the season.

Top four had appeared to be a distant dream but under Solskjaer’s tutelage United have looked a completely different unit and are currently just two points adrift of the top four.

Pogba’s relationship with Mourinho hogged all the limelight as the World Cup winner seemed to have lost his focus. But Solskjaer has helped the player reinventing his form and since then the 26 year old has emerged as a key player.

Pogba said, “Of course we want him to stay.

“The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

“When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club.

“He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

“This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results that we had before.”
