Paul Pogba Furious After Suspension In 0-2 PSG Defeat

According to the latest reports, Paul Pogba was furious with himself after Manchester United’s 0-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

This was the first defeat for the Red Devils under interim boss, Ole Gunner Solskjaer and also their first in 12 games. The Parisians will take back with them a distinctive advantage of 2 away goals.

Even with the tie not over yet, Pogba’s sending off late into the Old Trafford fixture could prove to be costly. The Frenchman was shown a second yellow card after lunging out a leg high enough to take down Dani Alves.

A source at United told the SUN, “Pogba was distraught and he apologised to all of his team-mates. He felt as if he had let them down and he is now gutted to be missing the second leg. He banged his locker in anger several times.”

Pogba’s frustrations are well warranted as plenty of the United fans raised questions regarding the referee’s decisions that night. Some thought that the midfielder’s first yellow card was not worthy of one while Presnel Kimpembe was allowed to stay on the pitch despite being involved in some heavy challenges.

Pogba has been in remarkable form ever since Jose Mourinho left the club and Solskjaer took over. He has played a massive role in the team’s resurgence and would be sorely missed in the return leg in Parc des Princes next month.
