Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the best managers in world football. Certainly many can claim with good reason that he is the best as well.
Fergie had challenges all throughout his career and he consistently overcame them all. There was Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelotti and many more who Fergie toppled.
However, one young man from Catalonia had broken through the ranks and become the coach of Barcelona. Under that man, there was Lionel Messi,Xavi and Iniesta.
Around them, that same man, or Pep as we know him, built a brilliant team that conquered world football; including Fergie’s United team.
Recalling the team of 2009, Guardiola told BT Sport’s What I Wore: “That Manchester United was outrageous, it was outstanding.
“So you know Cristiano Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic, Van der Sar. It was an incredible team.
“We had a lot of problems their with the back four. We had three injuries in the starting XI.
“But we (Barcelona) were full of confidence, we’d won the league and the cup and we did it.”
To make matters worse for United, Pep is now the boss of City, United’s arch rivals.
