Phil Jones Believes Tottenham Hotspur Clash Will Determine Their Current Revival Status

Phil Jones feels Manchester United’s recent upturn in form would face an acid test when they travel to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur on this Sunday.

Consecutive four wins helped United propelled their way towards the top four of the table as they are now within touching distance of fifth placed Arsenal. The Red Devils are just three points adrift of the Gunners and would be hoping to be in the top four very soon.

The introduction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done wonders for the Red Devils as there has been a major boost in confidence among the players. The likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are playing with more freedom and it has definitely reflected on the recent string of results.

Jones who also has played a pivotal part in the recent revival said, “Spurs is a good test. We are in good form and have some momentum going. We have steadied the ship a bit.

“We have not done anything yet, we have not achieved anything, but we need to keep it going.

“Possibly Spurs will be an indicator for us and how far we can go but it is a game we need to win.

“They are in good form and doing well and we need to have a good week, train well and prepare for a tough game. Hopefully the momentum can carry us on to win that match.”
