According to the Times, Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho, a forward for Manchester United. Red Devils academy graduate Marcus Rashford was once connected to the Ligue 1 squad, but they are no longer interested in him and instead want to sign his teammate. They haven’t made an offer for Garnacho yet, though, and it’s uncertain if they would contact Man United while the January transfer window is still open.

Atletico Madrid is keeping an eye on the Argentina international as well. But because they want to focus on other things, they are hesitant to make a move for the 20-year-old left winger. According to Man United, neither Garnacho nor Kobbie Mainoo—who has been connected to Chelsea—are being forced to leave the team.

PSG join the race for Man United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho

“Paris Saint-Germain continues to monitor Garnacho, but they have not yet made a bid for him.” Since the Nottingham Forest loss, the Argentina international has not started, as Amorim left him out of the matchday squad prior to the Manchester derby. After the head coach questioned his behavior on and off the field as well as his body language, the young player recently responded by deactivating his Twitter and X accounts and recording the assist on Amad Diallo’s equalizer against Liverpool last Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson, the renowned former manager of United, once referred to Garnacho and Mainoo as “the heart and soul” of the team; thus, selling such a jewel so early in his career would be the incorrect message to convey. The goal of INEOS’s potential sale is to raise over £50 million. Eliminating Marcus Rashford would make much more sense because he has already expressed his wish to leave, but few clubs can afford the out-of-form forward due to his exorbitant salary and asking price.
