Ralf Rangnick confirms Anthony Martial's departure from Man United

Martial has been linked with Barcelona, Sevilla and Newcastle.

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed Anthony Martial’s departure from Old Trafford. He cleared that the Frenchman wants to leave the club next year.

His agent previously admitted that Martial was keen to seek pastures new amid his struggles in United. He is not getting enough time at Old Trafford since the arrival of Ronaldo and Sancho.

BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone quotes Rangnick as saying, “Anthony wants to go. He told me he feels it is the right time for a change.”

“This is understandable. As far as I know, there has been no offer from other club. As long as this is the case, he will stay.”

Martial has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Sevilla and Newcastle United ahead of the January transfer window. The former Monaco starlet has recorded 79 goals and 50 assists in 268 games for Man United. He has only one goal this season from 10 appearances.
