Man United boss Ralf Rangnick targets John McGinn

John McGinn has three and a half years left to run on his current contract.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Aston Villa midfielder ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. John McGinn is Ralf Rangnick’s new target. The new interim manager of the Red Devils keens to strengthen his first-team squad.

As per the reports of The Sun, the Premier League giants are scouring the market for room options due to the uncertainty over several stars currently at the club.

The report claims that: “John McGinn is still on Manchester United’s radar as they prepare for a new future under Ralf Rangnick.

“United are in the market for midfield reinforcements as doubts continue to surround the long-term futures of the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek.”

Villa are set to demand upwards of £50m for the Scotland international. He has three and a half years left to run on his current contract.

The Scottish midfielder has scored three goals and provided two assists in his 14 appearances for Villa.
