Rashford and United were awful - Neville

Manchester United had gone to the top of the table back in January 12.

Since then in the last 10 games, they have only lost once, but won just thrice, drawing on 6 occasions.

It is just not good enough for champions contenders – especially since they have scored at a rate of just over 1 goal barring the Southampton game.

Yesterday, once again they crashed to a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, essentially handing City the league title who are now 14 points ahead with a game in hand.

Gary Neville held back no punches as he slammed Marcus Rashford and co.

“It’s a really poor performance, let’s be clear about it,” the United legend said just before the 70th minute.

“They’re so bad. His touches in the second half, Marcus Rashford, have been awful. He can’t control the ball when it comes to him.”

He added: “Gary Cahill‘s not been moved out of his position all night. There was no movement, no urgency, they were static. It ended up being so predictable.

“You can’t play counter-attack and win the league. You have to be dominant in games, particularly against teams at the bottom of the table.”
