Real Madrid Outcast Prefers Manchester United Move

According to the latest reports, James Rodriguez would not mind a move to Manchester United after rejecting Atletico Madrid.

It is abundantly clear there is no place for the Columbian at the Santiago Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid are under serious pressure to sell their unwanted players in order to comply with FInancial Fair Play rules. They have invested in a lot of top grade talent without sending a whole lot the other way. One of the biggest names expected to leave the Galacticos on January is Gareth Bale.

Rodriguez could be the other one, given how his talents are needed at Old Trafford. The 28-year-old’s agent, Jorge Mendes wants him to join Wolves due to his strong relationship with the club.

There is little chance of Real recouping the entire £63m they spent on Rodriguez five years back. He scored 15 goals in 67 appearances while on his loan spell with Bayern Munich. After the loan, Rodriguez requested the Bundesliga outfit to not pursue a permanent deal.

The attacking midfielder’s name has been thrown around in the transfer market almost as a free agent since then. His contract with Real is set to last till the summer of 2021.
