Diogo Dalot claims positive results are incoming

Despite playing with just 10 men for more than an hour, Manchester United pulled off another surprise victory, defeating Arsenal 5-3 on penalties away at the Emirates to secure their FA Cup third-round match. Both teams scored goals in the second half, and the game ended 1-1 at the end of extra time. After some outstanding play by Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes received the ball on the box’s edge and blasted past David Raya to give the visitors the lead.

The happiness, though, was short-lived as the Gunners quickly equalized after Diogo Dalot received his second yellow card for an unnecessary challenge. As Kai Havertz won a questionable penalty, it looked like the Red Devils would lose the match due to the Portuguese’s ejection. However, Altay Bayindir rescued United’s blushes by making one stop after another as the Red Devils won the game on penalties.

Dalot says Amorim’s stinging remarks were behind brave display

In response to Amorim’s remarks, Dalot said [via ESPN]: “It pinched me.” That, I believe, is what he desired for each player. “I have been here for a long time. I’m confident that I can contribute a little bit more at that level, and I’ll do everything in my power to support my colleagues. The largest change was that we were more cohesive as a unit.

“That’s what I believe we need to work on more—a proper team vying for the badge, and then the outcome, I believe.” “It’s time on the field, knowing what everybody wants to do, almost like trusting ourselves that everybody will be in the right position to play in every aspect of the game in every inch of the pitch,” Dalot emphasized when asked about spending more time on the training field.
