Manchester United have confirmed their first summer signing.

The English giants have secured the services of their long time target Fred.

Fred’s £52.5m move Man Utd confirmed by former Shakhtar boss Lucescu.

The Brazil international is set to link up with the Red Devils after seeing his game moulded by a man now in charge of the Turkey national team.
The Old Tarfford outfit’s £52.5 million move for Brazil international midfielder Fred has been confirmed by his former boss at Shakhtar Donetsk, Mircea Lucescu.

With a deal close to completion, the Red Devils appear to have secured themselves a top target for the summer transfer window.

Fred was heavily linked with city rivals Man City. But United pounced when their talks fell apart.

Lucescu greeted MAN United for signing a gem of a talent.

Lucescu said:

“I’m really pleased Fred has completed his transfer to Manchester United, I am proud of him.

“When I signed him at Shakhtar, Taison and Bernard were playing in his position.

“I transformed his position, giving him a more defensive role.”
