Rennes Chief Responds To Manchester United's Bid For Camavinga

Manchester United have not forwarded a bid yet for Eduardo Camavinga.

That is according to Rennes chief Florian Maurice.

Camavinga is one of Ole Solskjaer’s main transfer targets this summer. The 18-year-old is a hot prospect being currently pursued by a host of European giants. Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in his services.

Speaking to TV Rennes, Maurice said of United’s rumoured interest: “No offer was received for Eduardo Camavinga, neither from PSG nor from Manchester United.

“We remain calm about his situation. I know he doesn’t want to go free.”

One other player Manchester United could end up signing is Atletico Madrid’s Diego Llorente. The player himself is open to a move away but admits, he is happy in Spain.

“I have many years left (on my contract). My idea is to stay, I’m fine, I’m happy at Atletico Madrid,” he said. “We have had a great season winning La Liga. Anything can happen in football, but I don’t think about that kind of thing.”

Ole Solskjaer is clearly looking to address the gaps in his midfield. He needs more technically capable player who can add energy and substance on both ends of the pitch.
