Man United interested in signing Lille defender Leny Yoro

Rio Ferdinand has urged Dan Ashworth to sign Manchester United’s defensive star, Leny Yoro, who is 18 years old. The former England captain has been in Germany, where he has been observing the action as Arsenal wonder William Saliba makes an impression for France. Yoro, who has been a member of Lille’s senior team since 2022, may provide the elegant centre defender with a new defensive partner in the near future.

Yoro has also been linked to moves to Real Madrid and Liverpool. It is believed that Yoro was the subject of a £43 million transfer bid from Paris Saint-Germain, which his club authorized. Ashworth was introduced as the Red Devils’ new sporting director at the beginning of the month, and Ferdinand seems to still have faith in the adolescent. Ashworth is being urged to make a bid for the teenager.

Dan Ashworth sent clear message on Leny Yoro

Ferdinand, who has been a member of Lille’s first squad since 2022, asked for United’s new sporting director to make a move for the 18-year-old on his Vibe with Five podcast. “I believe Real Madrid will select Yoro over William Saliba,” he stated. I’d be thrilled if he visited Manchester United.

“If you are searching for Leny Yoro, kindly accept and visit Manchester United. I think this child’s ceiling is currently as high as anyone’s, including Saliba’s, so Man United, please extend the offer and accept it. Yoro’s situation at his present club is becoming increasingly perilous as he approaches the final year of his contract.
