Roelu Lukaku Transfer Hits Stumbling Block, Inter Milan Ready To Offer Argentine Forward

Inter Milan’s pursuit of Romelu Lukaku could be in doldrums due to their ongoing crisis with the Financial Fair Play.

Antonio Conte has taken over from Luciano Spalletti and is set to start his reign at the Italian club. The former Chelsea boss is expected to be given a hefty transfer kitty to choose from his favourite set of players and Lukaku remains his number one target.

During his earlier stint with the Blues, the Italian had tried to bring in the Belgian forward from Everton but Manchester United hijacked the move in the last moment and Conte had to be satisfied with an underwhelming Alvaro Morata.

Inter are in dire need of raising some money in the tune of £40m to ease their FFP burden. The Chinese owned club are planning to offload a number of players to balance their books but so far nothing has been materialized.

Mauro Icardi has been a long term target for United and the Nerazzurri could use this opportunity to seal a deal for the Argentine forward. Conte doesn’t seem to be preferring Icardi when it comes to leading his attack but remains to be seen whether United are interested in such a deal.
