Christian Eriksen wants Man United to be more clinical

Despite rumours that he would leave Manchester United during the recently ended transfer window, Christian Eriksen will stay at Old Trafford, as stated by Fabrizio Romano, who stated that the team had never held formal talks about a possible departure. Eriksen joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2022 after returning to the Premier League.

Eriksen returned to the Premier League and signed with United two years after leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Inter Milan, following a successful stint at Brentford. Since then, he has been a solid squad option for the Red Devils. Eriksen, though, was linked to a transfer elsewhere as he struggled to remove Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo from the starting eleven. Romano refuted those rumours, though, and it looks that a move outside of Old Trafford is unlikely for the time being.

Ajax is trying to include Eriksen

Romano verified the claims on his YouTube channel that Eriksen had not had an approach from Ajax, stating that there had been “no concrete negotiations” for his services. He stated: “We heard a lot of different rumours from Saudi Arabia, and then we started hearing rumours about Ajax’s opportunity, Christian Eriksen’s return to Ajax, but there was never a real negotiation about that.”

“Many United sources guarantee they never received an official bid from Ajax for Christian Eriksen, so this is a very romantic story to see Eriksen back to Ajax one day, but for this summer, they never received an official proposal. “Therefore, Manchester United stands in that regard.”
