Top five highest paid Manchester United players 2019 Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku believes this victory against Crystal Palace could be pivotal in Manchester United’s race to the top four.

With Marcus Rashford still not fully fit, Lukaku got the nod to start as a number nine and he got the ball rolling with a well deserved brace to keep United’s top four hopes alive.

Lukaku lost his place since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge as Rashford became the preferred choice up front. But the Belgian didn’t lose hope and kept on pushing for a chance in the starting lineup.

He was deployed in a more unfamiliar right wing against Liverpool and was one of the best players on the pitch delivering a number of delightful crosses.

He continued his good run and displayed some great centre forward skills as the Red Devils sealed their consecutive eighth away win for the first time in the club history.

Lukaku said, “Games like this, you have to win.

“I’m excited for the next couple of weeks because, with the players we have, we’re going to get results and, when the injured players come back, hopefully they can give us the push that we need to finish as high as possible in the league.”
