Romelu Lukaku Reveals Why He Left Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku revealed the exact moment he decided to leave Manchester United.

The Belgian secured a £72m move to Inter Milan last summer and has been tearing it up in the Serie A.

He has struck the back of the net 10 times in 13 league games this season which is a large contrast to his final months at Old Trafford.

Lukaku’s absence has hurt United significantly this season with a lack of depth in the striker department. Anthony Martial’s injury forced left Solskjaer with a lack of options in the attacking front.

But Lukaku knew he did not have a future anymore at Manchester. He said, “Once I learned that Solskjær planned to put me on the wing, then I knew my time at Manchester United was over.”

Lukaku has found success in the Serie A but United are struggling in the Premier League. The Red Devils are 10th in the standings before facing off against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

They have been linked with Red Bull Salzburg forward, Erling Haaland who has scored 26 goals in 18 appearances this season. United are also reportedly monitoring Mario Mandzukic’s situation at Juventus.
