According to speculations, Man Utd will boost Ruben Amorim in the summer by signing Lille’s Jonathan David and Angel Gomes on free transfers. The Red Devils decided to fire Erik ten Hag at the end of October and bring in Ruben Amorim in his place after spending almost £180 million on summer transfers. Under the Portuguese manager, Man Utd has only won four of his 15 Premier League games, and their performances and results have gotten worse.

The former Sporting CP manager is attempting to establish a philosophy, system, and style of play at Old Trafford that Amorim’s players are finding difficult to understand. After 26 games in the Premier League, Manchester United is currently in 15th place, and the Red Devils are closer to the relegation zone in terms of points than they are to the top four. After acquiring Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in the January transfer window, Amorim now hopes to add more players of his own to the Manchester United roster this summer.

Manchester United keen on Jonathan David and Angel Gomes

The Red Devils are reportedly interested in recruiting Jonathan David and Angel Gomes from LOSC Lille. Both players will be free agents once their contracts with the French team expire, according to a report from Fichajes. Ideally, United would approve the departure of many of its top players. They may raise a lot of money from their exits and utilize that money to bolster their team. In terms of offense, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Marcus Rashford may all be permanently removed from the team.

Although United’s roster already includes Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, Amorim is looking for a goal scorer with experience, and David’s track record indicates he could be able to provide it. Along with acquiring him on a free transfer, United also hopes to re-sign Gomes, who graduated from their academy. Even though the 24-year-old loves to play as a number 10, he can play any position, which will undoubtedly benefit Amorim.

He is accustomed to life at Old Trafford and won’t take long to get used to it. Gomes and David both have excellent market prospects, so it will be intriguing to see if United can close a deal for them both.
