Sanchez needs to prove a point against Barcelona: Solskjaer

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has challenged Alexis Sanchez to prove a point against Barcelona. The former Blaugrana striker is currently an outcast in the Manchester United lineup and needs to show his mettle under the tutelage of the Norweigan gaffer.

Speaking to the media ahead of the crucial Champions League match at Nou Camp, Solskjaer said, “Of course for Alexis, who’s been here and played here, it’s a big night and when he’s on the pitch I’m sure he wants to prove a point and prove a point for us as well. Because he’s been injured, he’s not had a fantastic season so far and let’s hope he can end the season great for us.”

He added, “Because we’re in the business end, playing games Man United are used to playing, of course we’re challenging for top four in the league but also challenging for a semi-final. Let’s hope Alexis when he’s on the pitch he can be happy with his performance.”
