Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has delivered a fresh update on Axel Tuanzebe’s future at the club. The Norwegian tactician is confident that the 21-year-old can be at Old Trafford for the long term.

Tuanzebe came through the youth ranks at United. He spent season 2018/19 on loan at Aston Villa, churning out impressive performances in the process. He has also been featured heavily in United’s pre-season games.

“He’s got a future at Man United yes, of course he has,” Solskjaer said.

“Today was a test for him playing against different opposition, we know he can play at that level, that’s why he didn’t play against Leeds and now he’s shown today he’s very capable of playing at this level.

“Axel’s gonna be the future of this club.”

Manchester United are gearing up to face Tottenham in their next game of the pre-season tour, having won their previous three matches against Leeds, Perth Glory and Inter Milan.
