Manchester United starlet Aliou Traore is sure of a move away from Old Trafford.

He feels that he is ready to play professional football and moreover, the 19 year old midfielder has been compared to United great Paul Pogba. He has been impressive while playing for the youth level at United, but wants to continue his senior career away from the Red Devils.

The issue is that Traore does not feel that he will be promoted to the first team at Old Trafford anytime soon – and does not want to wait any longer.

The French starlet told RMC Sport: “I would like to start a professional career.

“As I have said, I think I have the background to do so. I hope that happens in Manchester, if not then why not go and get playing time elsewhere.

“I have one year left on my contract so yes, I am not closing the door.

Traore has so had 14 appearances for the under 23 team and scored 4 goals, but now wants to play senior.

“But if I leave, it is for a first team. I do not want to leave Manchester to be in the same situation elsewhere.

“I need a change in my development and that is going to happen in a first team.”

There is an interest from French club SM Caen for his move, but nothing is confirmed of late.

Traore explained: “I will be listening for opportunities.

“I want to above all be part of a project that makes sense for me, a coherent project for what comes for my career.”
