Ten Hag could reignite Felix transfer talks

Joao Félix, who is wanted by Manchester United, may depart Atlético Madrid in the upcoming January transfer window as Erik ten Hag searches for offensive reinforcements at Old Trafford

Following the termination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in November as a result of an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, the Red Devils are searching for a forward.

The Daily Mail claims that Félix had interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal in January. However, the latter two are said to have been deterred by the idea of having to pay an initial £8 million fee as well as the forward’s entire £247k weekly salary.

However, the door may be left open for ten Hag’s side to make a lunge for the 68-goal forward given the Gunners’ persistent pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Romano recently revealed to GiveMeSport that the Red Devils had spoken with the agency of Portugal player Jorge Mendes in the past, but the club has not yet started talks with Atlético about a potential January transfer.

Félix’s availability was discussed with the La Liga team in the summer, but the transfer guru thinks that now that the player has lost favour at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, the club may discover that he is much more accessible.
