The Moyes curse ends today!

Today is the day Manchester United fans.

When Sir Alex Ferguson retired six seasons ago, he was replaced by David Moyes, a fellow Scot.

The then United boss was appointed with a 6 year work contract which expires today. It was all the way back in 2013. David Moyes was thought to be the man who would replace Ferguson but it never went according to the plan.

Moyes’ reign was one of horror as everything that could go wrong, went wrong. The players did not enjoy his football, the big stars refused to come to United; Moyes simply did not have the pulling power Fergie did.

Bad results followed one after the other and Manchester United were done with in only 9 months and 22 days, not even 1/6th of the initial contract length they signed.

He was followed by a temporary boss in Ryan Giggs who was promptly replaced next season by Louis Van Gaal, one of best tactical and disciplinary bosses in Europe. However, Van Gaal despite a flurry or signings, never got the United DNA moving and two years later was replaced.

In came United’s biggest star, Jose Mourinho. The dynamic boss tried and initially tasted success before woefully failing and has since been replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a former United player.

And here we are at the end of his six year contract, with Ole not doing so well either. Will the Moyes curse end now?
