Manchester United vs Aston Villa Prediction

Manchester United may soon be sniffing around Unai Emery to replace Ruben Amorim, according to former Aston Villa player Stan Collymore. The Red Devils have had their worst start to the season since the 1992–93 campaign, and current manager Ruben Amorim is feeling the fire.

In addition to losing to Grimsby Town in the League Cup, United is now mired in 11th place in the Premier League. The team’s poor start comes after finishing in 15th place last season, which was their lowest ever in the Premier League.

In addition, they lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final in May, which means that Old Trafford will not be playing in Europe for the first time in more than a decade. Given Amorim’s increasingly vulnerable situation, it is not surprising that some of the best managers in Europe are being connected to the role.

During Erik ten Hag’s turbulent time at United last year, Emery of Villa was said to be in the running. Despite Villa’s sluggish start to the season, Emery’s efforts in Birmingham have received high praise.

Emery to Man Utd theory comes to light

Stan Collymore, a former striker for Aston Villa, has questioned Monchi’s hiring practices and believes Emery may soon join Manchester United.

On X, Collymore wrote, “Monchi. Many social media posts by other recruits praising their efforts (as do others, particularly Brighton and Bournemouth) resonated with Villans since things were going well.

But out of more than twenty new players, I make it three clear winners in the market (players who play for the first team, not jiggery-pokery for PSR) in Tielemans, Rogers, and Pau. That’s mediocre hiring at best.

Emery wanted him, which makes it unclear if Unai’s tenure will end abruptly at the end of the season (*fires starting pistol on weekly rumors about United, etc., etc., etc.). Or if he has accepted my analysis, he has fired a great friend, but “business is business,” and a new, shiny recruiter with a higher strike rate takes his place.
