Manchester United expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Old Trafford this summer

It looks unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo will carry his contract for another season.

Manchester United are reportedly expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club after the ongoing season.

The Portugal skipper made his second debut in Premier League last summer and left Juventus. He made an impressive return to the Red Devils by scoring 18 goals in 32 appearances.

Ronaldo signed the contract for two years with the option of a further 12 months. Meanwhile, it looks unlikely that the 37-year-old will carry his contract for another season. He wants to leave during this summer’s transfer window.

Man United are having a tough season and they have been knocked out of all big competitions. They are finding it hard to finish in the top four of the Premier League. Arsenal looks solid in the pursuit of Champions League qualification after this season.

As per the Football Insider, Manchester United are expecting Ronaldo to push for a move away from Old Trafford in the upcoming market.

The report also adds that the 20-times Premier League Champions could be prepared to let him leave on a free transfer due to the savings that they would make in terms of his wage packet.
