United looking at potential deal for England captain Harry Kane

United are now looking at Harry Kane as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to journalist Dean Jones, Manchester United are one of only two options that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could move to in the Premier League, if the Spurs man were to leave Spurs for Erik ten Hag’s side at Old Trafford.

The England skipper is currently on World Cup duty with Gareth Southgate’s squad.

According to The Sun, Bayern Munich are reportedly set to offer up to £90m for the services of Kane. The 29-year-old star will set to enter the final 12 months of his £200k-per-week contract (via Spotrac) at the Tottenham at the end of the season.

The Englishman looked poised to make the move to Manchester City in a £150m deal (via ESPN) in the summer of 2021 before a move broke down and the striker stayed in north London.

But according to reports in Spain (via the Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are now looking at a potential deal for Harry Kane as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Red Devils terminated the Portugal star’s contract after he took part in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “If he stays in England, it looks like there are only two realistic options and they’re quite different.

“One would be Man United, where you’re looking at Premier League history and traditions and hoping that they’re about to turn a corner and reclaim past glories.”

Whilst big decisions are afoot either in January or next summer for Kane, the striker’s immediate focus will be on guiding England to a second-ever World Cup title, with the Three Lions set to face Senegal in the last 16 on Sunday having finished top of their group.
