United has released the official statement on Solskjaer’s departure.

Manchester United have made their decision to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager following the disappointing 4-1 loss to Watford on Saturday.

Man United board called an emergency meeting at 7 pm local time and Sky Sports claimed that the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is uncertain at Old Trafford. The Watford loss made things pretty sure that the United board will now look for the new manager.

Man United issued an official statement that reads, “Manchester United announces that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as manager.

“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.”

Earlier, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also posted on Ole that the decision will be formalised once co-owner Joel Glazer gives the green light.

Man United suffered a 4-1 defeat at Vicarage Road and now they moved to seventh in Premier League. They previously lost to City in the derby game at Old Trafford. The season 2021-22 has been a nightmare for Solskjaer.
