Manchester United slumped to a draw against Wolves in the FA Cup clash two night back.
It now means that the Red Devils will have to play an extra match (the replay) in an already congested festive schedule. Their performance was slammed as “embarrasing” by former United star Dion Dublin.
“That’s kind of embarrassing to be fair (no shots on target) and the performance showed that as well,” Dublin said on Match of the Day.
“Both teams weren’t really at it. This is the stage of the Cup that United should be getting the job done.”
Another pundit and former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur star Jermain Jenas also added his thoughts about the match.
enas added: “I thought the penalty decision was correct. Brandon Williams does well to get the ball out of his feet. It was a lapse in concentration.
“But I think Leander Dendoncker keeps his leg straight and doesn’t go across him. Williams sends himself over rather than being taken over. I think VAR got that one correct.
“It was one of those games that was not easy on the eye but it’s a tough place for United to get a result at the minute.”
