United to look at alternatives of Declan Rice for next summer

West Ham United is expected to value Declan Rice around £80-90m and Red Devils might opt out of this deal.

ESPN reports, Manchester United are planning at West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice’s potential alternatives for next summer. Premier League maade great signings this summer transfer with signing Tom Heaton, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United spent £126 million in 2021’s summer transfer window.

Now reports are going around the defensive midfielder and the club is keen to fill this role by signing Declan Rice in next summer’s transfer window. Rice is the first name in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s mind.

Old Trafford require a new midfielder to complement Scott McTominay. The club have doubts over Rice’s ability to significantly improve the team next season. West Ham United is expected to value him around £80-90m and Red Devils might opt out of this deal. They are also searching for alternatives outside of the Premier League.

Rice has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. The 22-year-old recently scored a stunning solo goal against Dinamo Zagreb. West Ham are in a good position to negotiate and their midfielder still has three years on his contract. Manchester City have also been strongly linked with rice and United may look for other option in 2022. Old Trafford’s scouting team will look for some foreign talents with affordable price tags.
