Unsettled Striker Leaves His Future At The Hands Of Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku has left his future at the hands of Manchester United after expressing a strong desire to leave for the Serie A.

The Belgian forward has struck out at Old Trafford after an initial £75m transfer from Everton two seasons back. He only managed 15 goals and 4 assists in 45 appearances this past season.

Lukaku’s representative, Federico Pastorello, told Sky Sports News back in April that his client’s future will be decided after the 2018/19 season.  Reports intensely linked the 26-year-old to Inter Milan, where his former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has taken up the hot seat.

When asked about a potential transfer to the San Siro, Lukaku said, “It’s up to the club. The club have to come out with statements. I’m not here to entertain any rumours. I just play my football and we’ll take it from there.”

Lukaku was further questioned by Italian outlet, Sportmediaset about his opinion of Conte, to which he replied, “It’s good that Conte went to Inter, for me he is the best coach in the world.

“I am a big Serie A fan, those close to me know that I have always wanted to play in the English league and in the Italian one: I love Italy.”
