Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Vam der Sar has said that he isn’t keen on a return to Manchester United as he has unfinished business at Ajax.

Manchester United are currently on the lookout for a football director and the Dutchman is high up on their shortlist. Van der Sar has done commendable work with youth development at Ajax which has been the core of the club’s successful UCL and domestic campaign last season.

“No I think I said before I want to make this a success at Ajax,” Van der sar told BT Sport.

“Also as a player you have to build up confidence and your qualities, your strengths, I am trying it out and experiencing a lot of different things here.”

“I’m still not finished, we have unfinished business here. Maybe if we took that one step further last year [Champions League final] it could have been the step already but for the moment I concentrate on Ajax.”
