Wayne Rooney Reveals His Preferred Choice For The Next Manchester United Manager

Wayne Rooney believes Mauricio Pochettino would be perfect for the Manchester United job, should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fail to get hold of his current post.

Solskjaer was appointed as the caretaker manager following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho and so far has managed to turn the tide with his brilliant managerial skills. United haven’t tasted a defeat in their last 10 matches and the former United forward is a favourite to get the job on a permanent basis.

United hierarchy is believed to be going through the initial process of choosing potential candidates and Pochettino is likely to be on the list. The Argentine’s work at Tottenham Hotspur is highly appreciated and he could be in the race to be the next United manager.

But as things stand Solskjaer is leading the line for the lucrative job and a good performance from United in this crucial phase could hand him the reign. “Ole Gunnar’s a fantastic person.

“I think the club will have a decision to make at the end of the season, and it’d be nice to see if Ole’s going to continue with this form, and get a shot at the job on the payment basis.

“But if not, if the club go to choose from somewhere else, then I think in my opinion Pochettino would be the right guy.”
