5. Romelu Lukaku
The Big Belgian became Manchester United’s most expensive player, albeit only for a few moments. He was the star player United were searching for in the market to take them back to the top. In Lukaku, they got a youngster who had not only proven himself but had done so in the Premier League. He was an experienced and seasoned goal scorer at Everton before United came knocking for him.
