According to reports, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is on the brink of signing for PSG.

De Gea’s current contract expires next summer and he hasn’t signed a new contract with Manchester United yet.

There were claims that De Gea wanted a pay-rise because of the astronomically high wages of the under-performing Alexis Sanchez.

There has been a lot of talk about Real Madrid interested in de Gea but this time, a new club has entered the fray- PSG.

PSG are willing to offer De Gea wages of £300,000 a week. This is a massive improvement on his £175,000 a week at Manchester United and will make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.

PSG already have one of the most talented keepers in the world in Alphonse Areola and an all-time great in Gianluigi Buffon. However, a goalkeeper with the pedigree of De Gea can easily limit the appearances of Areola and Buffon.

De Gea can start talking to overseas clubs from January onwards.
