Manchester United Preview: Manchester United Fixtures
The new season could have come later for United. They finished their European duties only on the 20th of August, 2021. The Red Devils finished third in the league on 66 points, ahead of Chelsea on goal difference.
Then there was the run to the semi-finals of three different cup competitions and it meant that the season was not an absolute disaster for OGS.
Their addition of Bruno Fernandes to the squad in January however, proved to be crucial as it was his out of the world performances for almost every match that pulled United through the flag end of the season.
The return of Pogba and his link-up with Bruno means that United are slowly returning to their best.
They will start the new season with optimism and hopefully with new players on board. The club has been battling hard to get a few signings done. Here is a look at those players United want to sign:
Manchester United Fixtures – Manchester United players to watch
In the Manchester United Fixtures, who can be the star players to join United?
Attacker – Jadon Sancho
The Borussia Dortmund winger has been a revelation had already been linked with a potential move to Manchester United. United don’t really have an out and out right winger and a number of players have been unsuccessfully auditioned for that role. Jadon Sancho’s meteoric rise in this season hasn’t gone unnoticed and he could solve United’s right-wing problems.
Sancho has accumulated impressive numbers in his first full season in the Bundesliga and it would need a record-breaking offer for United to tempt Dortmund into selling their most prized asset. His eye for picking out the right pass and ability to cross the ball could be a huge hit at the Old Trafford.
However, the move might have reached an ugly end with United ending up not making a single bid as they considered Dortmund’s valuation of the player extremely high. Watch & Bet Football Live =>
Midfielder – Jack Grealish
If there is one player to be impressed by this season, it is Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish. Whether the Claret and Blues survive relegation, Manchester United should definitely pursue a deal for the English midfielder. After having sealed a deal for Ajax’s Donny Van De Beek, United should get Grealish as well.
He has so far scored 8 goals and furthered 8 assists in 29 Premier League appearances. At 24, Grealish can ideally be called a complete midfielder. He is highly versatile and can simply walk into this Red Devils team to provide an obscene level of impact. Grealish could replace the unproductive Jesse Lingard in the number ten role and easily hand the front three more support.
So far, he has managed to upstage Jadon Sancho as Manchester United’s top transfer target. Watch & Bet Football Live =>
Defender – Dayot Upamecano
RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano is being highly sought after by Manchester United and now have been joined by Arsenal in the transfer race, along with Serie A side Napoli and Premier League club Everton. However, Manchester United seem most likely to win this race for Dayot because they have everything the player wants in a club – Champions League and Premier League matches. These offers none of the other clubs are able to provide to the defender and that’s why United stands the best chance for a transfer.
