The 28-year-old Turkey international, who joined United from Fenerbahce in 2023, made 17 appearances in three seasons at Old Trafford.
The deal includes a purchase option reportedly worth around £3.5m, with Celta covering his wages during the loan spell. Bayindir will now seek regular first-team football in Spain.
Bayindir’s departure is part of a wider overhaul of United’s goalkeeping department. Andre Onana has also rejoined Trabzonspor on loan, while Radek Vitek is expected to join Middlesbrough permanently.
With Senne Lammens established as the number one and Karl Darlow signed as deputy, United have reshaped their options between the posts.
