The Brazilian midfielder has fallen down the pecking order in Manchester United and is expected to join Serie A side, Lazio, on loan with an option to buy.
The 24-year old made 40 appearances last season, scoring two goals and recording four assists.
Following the arrival of Donny van de Beek from Ajax, Pereira’s chances of first-team minutes under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer looks increasingly slim.
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare said: “We expect Andreas Pereira to be completed in the next two or three days with Manchester United.”
Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi is also excited to see the 24-year old at Stadio Olimpico.
“I know him, he is a quality player who can give us a big helping hand. I don’t want to to talk too much about players who haven’t signed yet.
“We’ll see if he arrives or not.”
The transfer window closes on October 5 and we will see if the Red Devils manage to secure a deal for priority transfer target Jadon Sancho.
