Romelu Lukaku has decided to drop a massive bomb on the Manchester United fans just weeks from the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Belgian forward, who has been reduced to a less important role upon Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as the Red Devils boss has hinted at a move away from the club.

He was signed from Everton in the summer of 2017 for a whopping £90m fee with add-ons. Ever since, the United faithful has derived mixed feelings out of the Belgian’s performances on the pitch. He has managed 12 goals in 31 appearances this season which is not ideal for a striker of such high value.

Solskjaer has played Rashford plenty of times in the sole striker role and the youngster has done considerably better, even though his form has dropped recently. The England international is considered as the future of the club and is being lined up for a massive contract extension.

Anthony Martial is also a viable option in the centre-forward spot which poses a strong threat towards Lukaku. He was quoted to have said, “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream. I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on United.”

With Solskjaer plotting to clear out wasteful players from his squad this summer, is it possible that the 25-year-old is included in that list.
